Making a Pumpkin Person
At Schwartz Preschool they made a pumpkin person for fun! They took a pumpkin, gutted it, and added adorable decorations! The children found various loose parts they taped onto the pumpkin and it looked just like a person--albeit in pumpkin form!
Fun Pumpkin Activity
Cutting into the pumpkin and taking all its guts and seeds out was fascinating. Some kids found it gross and others loved digging inside and feeling how squishy and stringy it was!
After seeds were taken out, they were actually cleaned. Then, the seeds were used for another fun activity where children had paper images of pumpkins they were able to add seeds to as a fun craft. Between making a pumpkin person and doing this additional fun activity the pumpkins sure were useful!
