Making Balloon Cannon
Tie a balloons mouth, then cut the opposite end. Wrap the balloon around a paper cup's bottom (the bottom was previously punched. Hence a hole at the bottom of the cup) using the cut side of the balloon. Tape the wrapped balloon around the cup to make it more durable. Your balloon cannon is ready! Pop a little ping pong ball in the cup, pull the tied end of the balloon and let go. Watch how your cannon launches the ball.
This is a great STEM activity for toddlers and preschoolers using simple, affordable materials which can be easily found at your home.
You can vary the way of using your cannon such as making two and competing who will launch it higher or trying to hit a target using your cannon ball.
