Hello! My name is Daniela and I teach English in an Italian Preschool. Last year they had to paint the Olympic symbol on their shirts (so they learned circle and the various colors and also had to pay attention to where they placed their circle, with our help of course!) and we also made the torches.
The painted a paper plate gold, we teachers glued them into the cone shape, the kids had to cut the red, orange and yellow tissue paper into strips which we then glued inside. They had lots of fun! And if you look closely, there are fire-spitting flying dragons made with paper toilet rolls hanging from the ceiling(top right hand corder of photo) we made after reading The Knight and The Dragon.
