The Hungry Caterpillar

The Hungry Caterpillar

We have 24 children in our class and they are between the ages of 3 and 4. We are currently doing a book week as our theme. We read the story of the Hungry Caterpillar. We used cut out images of all the caterpillar ate while telling the story. Each child got an opportunity to come and put one item up. I had prepared the head of the caterpillar by painting a large paper plate red and adding the eyes and mouth and feelers. Then each child got a small paper plate to draw something the hungry caterpillar ate. They then stood in a line and we took a video of our very hungry caterpillar. The children enjoyed deciding what to draw.
