2 Art Activities About Planet Earth
They celebrated the recent holiday of Earth Day at The Gardner School of Minnetonka! To commemorate the special day they did two art activities about our planet that you can do for the next Earth Day or as a part of simply discussing our planet (like in a solar system educational unit).
Negative space Earth craft
The kiddos took a white piece of paper and put it under a black piece of construction paper with a hole cut in it. Then they painted in the open space to create their Earth as it stood out against the negative space!
Shaving cream Earth
The class took a pile of shaving cream and mixed it with some blue and green food coloring to make their own colorful version of Earth out of shaving cream! It was a stellar hands-on activity.
Great fun learning about Earth
These two activities were super fun for the kids who enjoyed learning about Earth!
