Learning About Planets and Painting Earth

At Pusch Ridge Preschool, they have spent the month of January learning about outer space and the various planets in our solar system! A lot of time has been spent on our home planet, Earth! To celebrate Earth the kiddos painted their own interpretation of the planet on some coffee filters with blue and green paint.

Materials needed for this craft

To make your own unique planet Earth you need the following:

*Coffee filters (having just one may be too thin, have a stack)

*Blue and green paint (acrylic or tempera works great)

*Paintbrush

How to do this craft

To make your own interpretation of planet Earth you can follow these steps:

1.Grab your stack of coffee filters and lay them down.

2.Use your paintbrush to get blue and green paint, make oceans and continents that resemble our Earth, or however you want to paint things!

3. Wait for the paint to dry.

4. Show everyone your unique version of Earth!
