2 Feather-Themed Craft Projects
At World of Life Preschool and Childcare Center, they had a stupendous time doing two crafts that incorporated feathers.
One craft involved making funny hats out of construction paper and feathers. To do this craft children glued feathers to one side of a piece of construction paper. Then, with the help of an adult, the paper was folded into itself and stapled together--with the feather part on the outside--allowing children to wear their new feathery-fun hat!
The other craft had students take feathers and glue them onto a piece of construction paper so as to make a collage. The kids love mixing and matching the different colors and sizes of feathers to create a beautiful collage they were very proud of.
Feathers are a unique texture that kids love exploring when doing crafts. These two ideas from World of Life Preschool and Childcare Center are great examples of how to introduce feathers to your students as a craft element!
