Building Architecture out of Recycled Materials
At Beach Day School, the kids had so much fun doing this STEM activity! A variety of recycled materials were provided by the students and their parents (as well as other teachers) and all of these items were used to try and make impressive-looking buildings out of the random recyclable materials!
Reduce, reuse, and recycle!
Everything from old shipping boxes to paper towel tubes, plastic cups, paper plates, and more were used as a tool for helping the students to create tall buildings out of materials that otherwise would maybe have been thrown away.
Knowledge and creativity
The children used their STEM knowledge to try and create stable and secure buildings out of all the assorted materials they were given. The little ones really showed their creativity as they built some fantastic architectural wonders!
