At Cadence Academy Preschool of Houston, the class was overjoyed that they got to build gingerbread houses!
Making houses out of gingerbread
Gingerbread houses are always so much fun to create. They can be eaten as they contain edible parts, but usually are just made as a piece of decoration and left-out so long they get a bit stale if someone were to try to eat them--they look better than they taste, in other words. Sometimes people will use gingerbread house kits, but at Cadence Academy, they simply used an assortment of tools to make their houses! The kiddos were given graham crackers, frosting, and plenty of candy items to decorate their house with as it became assembled. Here are some pictures of the process:
