King and Queen for the day
We use Heggerty curriculum to teach letters, sounds, manipulation of syllables. This is usually a 15-20 minute phonics instruction time each day. We want the students to be paying attention so much during this time since Kindergarten students need this the most. After each lesson we chose 1 boy and 1 girl for eyes on speaker, body still, doing hand gestures, and repeating instruction, and focusing. Then we take a picture of the students and send to parents so they can be proud and try again the next day. They kids do not have to be perfect students but even if students show improvement we chose them. not my orginal idea. We got from someone else on social media
