Mr. Potato Head Template for Discussing the Five Senses
The five senses we as humans have are sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. When discussing these senses with students it can be fun to focus on each sense via this Mr. Potato Head template!
It can be printed out, laminated, and then have each piece cut out. After that, the plain potato (and onion) template can have parts put on it that correspond to our different senses. For example, you can ask students, "Put the part of our body we smell with on Mr. Potato Head," and students will put the nose on him. Another example would be requesting students to put what we see with on Mr. Potato Head and they place eyes upon him.
Students can also mix-and-match body parts in all kinds of fun ways if they want, like making a version of Mr. Potato Head that can do everything except taste (no mouth! There are limitless options.
Mr. Potato Head Template Printables
Below are the template's printables. There are four sheets total. Two feature a potato body and onion body with the body parts in color, two are in black-and-white so that students can color the body and its parts (before laminating) if desired!
