Planting Seeds Activity for Kids
At Little School of Fish Preschool, they used little digging tools to plant seeds that then grew into little baby sprouts of plants! The children enjoyed learning about how to plant seeds, water them, and watch them grow.
Planting seeds and watching them grow
The children from the classroom gathered-up their seeds and cups. Then, they went outside and used their cups to gather-up dirt and water. They put the dirt in a pot and planted their seeds. Then they poured water and looked in other places with dirt for sprouts that were growing.
The children had a fantastic time learning about how water and good soil helps plants grow. They loved patting the seeds into the dirt and talking about how with regular watering the seeds will sprout and then need sunlight to keep growing big and strong. It was a fun time!
