Printable Game For Learning About Euler Diagrams by Sorting Pigs
These cards all involve sorting pigs by different colors. They fit into different groups and make what is known as an Euler diagram.
The set (1 sheet) includes the pictures of the pigs of different colors: brown, pink, brown spotted, and pink spotted.
To make it clear how you're making Euler circles you can use little ropes or ribbons to make Euler circles as pictured above. Then the monochromatic pigs are placed in the outermost circles and spotted pigs are placed at the intersection of the outermost circles with the central (spotted) ones there too.
Print on a thick sheet of paper and cut it into cards, you can laminate everything too.
Euler Diagram
You can improve logical thinking with Euler diagrams. These exercises help with comparison and analysis. Children notice the intersection of the qualities of the elements of the set (the pigs).
