Studying What Type of Salt Melts Ice the Fastest
At Mulberry School, they did a fun science project! The kids were tasked to figure out which type of salt melts ice the best: table salt, rock salt, or Epsom salt? These young scientists investigated that question and recorded their results with great enthusiasm!
Materials needed for this craft
To do this craft with your students you will need the following:
*A large bowl full of ice
*Table salt
*Rock salt
*Epsom salt
*A note pad
*Pencil

How to do this craft
To do this craft follow these steps:
1. Take your bowl full of ice and put it on a table.
2. Place the three different kinds of salt on the ice in different parts of the bowl and watch which groups of ice melt faster.
3. Record the results with your note pad and pencil.
4. See if other students doing this experiment recorded the same results.
5. Come to a conclusion as a group what kind of salt melts the ice the fastest!
