Turkey of Thanks Group Craft
At Precious Lamb Preschool, the students and teachers worked together to create feathers for a big construction paper turkey on a bulletin board! Everyone took a feather and wrote down what they were thankful for this year upon it. Then, the teachers stapled all the feathers onto the bulletin board turkey. It looked fantastic and had so many wonderful words of thanks upon it!
You can make your own turkey next year!
For the next Thanksgiving in a year you can make turkey of thanks with your classroom too! All you need is a bulletin board and a bunch of construction paper you can cut up and write upon. Having students discuss what they are thankful for is a great activity for reflection and self-awareness as well. When Thanksgiving rolls around again next year this activity will be perfect for it!
