Handpainting Turkey Craft
At Kidz First Academy, they celebrated the recent Thanksgiving holiday by painting their own hands to look like actual colorful turkeys! It was very fun and the kiddos loved making their hands and fingers look just like an actual turkey.
Painting their own hands!
The children used tempera paint and used their free hand to paint the other one. They made their palms brown like the body of a turkey and used colors such as red, orange, and yellow to represent the feathers of the turkey on their fingers and thumb. Once the paint dried on one hand, they repeated the process as they painted their other hand with the one that already had some paint upon it. Some students had the colors of the feathers match on both hands and some children had there be a variety of colors. It was great fun!
