Community Helpers Preschool Matching Game

Community Helpers Preschool Game

When it comes to community helpers there are many people who work hard to make our lives better! Three of them are construction workers, chefs, and mail carriers.

Construction workers help build-up the places we live, work, shop, and sleep in and also help fix buildings when they start to crumble due to old age or damage from storms and natural disasters. Chefs come-up with delicious meals and cook us tasty food. Mail carriers of course are wonderful because they bring us important mail such as bills, magazines, and cards or presents from loved ones!

How to Do The Matching Game

All three of these community helpers do a lot for us and they each have tools unique to their job. This matching game involves printing out the blank sheets with the three community helpers and then printing-out and cutting-up the sheets with the assorted tools the helpers use to do their jobs. Students then need to match the correct item to that helper. This game helps students learn about what kinds of things go with which helper (a chef needs an oven and mail carrier drives a postal truck) and is great way to establish how these three different community helpers make a difference for us everyday!
