Google Slides for Easy Reading Comprehension

By using Bitmoji and Google Slides, you can make a real simple, interactive reading comprehension activity!

Start by creating a google slides document. Use various bitmoji images to add to the theme of your lesson. When you are ready, start copying and pasting your bitmoji images onto your google slides. For backgrounds and props for your slides, do a google search for “transparent” images of furniture and rooms that would make your ideal backdrop! The transparent version of your clip art will keep you from having backgrounds on the those images. Next, add video links to books being read online, or by yourself! Add a slide with a simple graphic organizer to help students organize their ideas. Encourage younger learners to draw their answer if writing is not yet a strong skill. More advanced learners can be encouraged to not only fill in the organizer, but also use as a tool for writing a book summary.
