Playing with mathematics
The children participated in playful activities related to mathematical thinking. In the photos you can see some supplies used in this activity.
The first is the "Monito de las sums". With this material, the children had to solve the indicated sum, using the bananas to reach the final result. The support of concrete material was useful for students with difficulties in performing mental calculations, but it was also motivating for the more advanced students, since they felt like they were feeding the little monkey.
In the other photograph you can see various resources that were used with the same objective: bringing students closer to the world of mathematics in a playful way.
