Learning About Fire Safety From the Visiting Fire Department!
At Apple Tree Preschool, they recently celebrated fire safety week. As a part of this week, the Fire Department actually came to the school and visited with the students! It was wonderful that they took time out of their schedule to come and talk with the kiddos about fire safety.
Special outfits for firefighting
The First Department showed how they wear special fire-resistant clothing that allows them to enter flame-filled buildings and be okay. It was discussed how the children do not have these outfits so if they are ever exposed to fire they need to be sure to stop, drop, and roll.
Trucks for fighting fires
The students were so excited to see the fire truck. The Fire Department showed all the fascinating gadgets and gizmos in the truck. It was awesome having them visit!
