Snowflake STEAM
We have been studying snowflakes in STEAM class.
Lower El is Focusing on symmetry and how snow forms. We are learning how to fold and cut snowflakes. Other centers include: creating crayon resist drawings, snowflake tinker trays, playdough snowflake mats, snowflake puzzles and snowflake "stained glass".
Upper El is doing cooperation challenges. First one was the "Snowman Stretch" Who can make the tallest freestanding snowman made with 5 sheets of paper and 3 feet of masking tape.
First week we lost 2 days due to snow days--blizzard conditions across Michigan.
