Learning About Space and Creating Spaceships--a STEAM Project
At Little Sprouts Learning Center, they learned all about space and then used construction paper, scissors, and glue to create their own spaceships!
All about outer space
The kids were excited to review fun facts about outer space. It was discussed how space is very cold, has no air/sound, and has zero gravity. The students talked about how strange it would probably feel to float around in space and how that is why spaceships need rockets and thrusters to move through the emptiness.
Creating rockets
After all the discussion about space, the kiddos made their own rockets out of pieces of construction paper they cut with their scissors and then glued together. It was a fantastic STEAM project.
