Wash the clothes activity
I set up this activity for my mixed age centre. The children were able to take baby doll clothing make it dirty in the mud and sand. After they did that it was time to wash the clothing! The children can use motor skills while they scrub and squeeze the water out of the clothing. Provide the children with clothing pins and a clothing line (I used a thin rope between two trees that was thin enough for the pins to fit over it.) the next step is for the children to try and manipulate the pins (squeeze and release) to hang up the clothing on the rope. After all clothing is hung we left it and checked back at it at the end of the day. The children were amazed they were dry!
