Apples and Trees as a part of an ongoing life cycle study
Life cycles are perhaps the simplest and most daunting topic as it often brings into question our own mortality. However using life cycles as an anchor for the year gives a connection to the cyclic nature of the earth and all living things. Starting the year with Apples and trees, then back around to frogs and insects in the spring. Today is an investigation, and painting of apples. In coming days, sampling different types, and the cycle of a tree. When we think of the scope and sequince of the year we can continually return to the cyclic nature of all things in the universe. All natural things have a cycle children can observe.
