Consonant Vowel Activity

After learning all the letter sounds, and be familiar on how to write them comes blending of consonant and vowels as pre reading activities. Mastery of how the letters look like and be able to sound it out will help them to write it down. After this they will move on to learning Consonant vowel consonant (CVC) but its better to get them familiar of the Consonant Vowel (CV) sounds blending such as ba, ca, da, fa, ga, ha, ja, ka, la, ma, na, pa, qua, ra, sa, ta, va, wa, ya, za and so on to the rest of the vowels e, i, o, u. Teaching phonics introduces CV, CVC, CCVC (consonant-consonant-vowel-consonant) and CVCC (consonant vowel consonant consonant). Teachers and parents can work hand in hand to make reading experience for children fun and interesting.

I used these for our online class pre reading activities, the blending of the consonant and vowel sound to form a new sound.
