At Hayes Family Day Care, they did a fun project with construction paper to simulate playing with a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head! Everyone had a lot of fun taking a piece of construction paper that looked simply like a potato and then mounting it on another piece of construction paper and adding body parts to it--just like with a regular potato head toy!
Potato People Fun
The students had a lovely time playing with the pieces for their potato people! You can easily have your class make their own construction paper potato heads by printing out or drawing and coloring the kinds of pieces kids will need to make their own Mr. and Mrs. potato heads. Then, it is just all about letting the kids be creative!
