Numbers or letters in nature
This activity was created by the children collecting natural items such as leaves, sticks or stones. They then looked at the correct formation of the letter or number, then they copied the formation using the natural items.
By using natural items it allowed the children to in a practical way practise how to form the letters of numbers correctly.
The children could go onto using other media to practise formation such as chalks or paints with brushes. Using natural items it also bring in the sensory and holistic nature of learning through accessing our different environment.
