Thanksgiving Aprons

We made "Thanksgiving Helper" aprons to send home for the holiday! They turned out really cute! The white canvas aprons were purchased in bulk, and we used an assortment of acrylic paint to make the hand- and footprints. We used bright colors for the turkey feather handprints and brown for the footprint, which became the turkey body. Then we used fabric markers to add details and write on the aprons. We added eyes, a beak, the snood, and then the words, "[child's name] is a Thanksgiving Helper." This project took multiple days to complete, but it was worth it! We also created placemats to send home that included what each child is thankful for written onto the feathers of turkeys that we printed out on card stock. The placemats were laminated with a special blessing printed on the back. We really enjoyed helping our Pre-K class celebrate Thanksgiving!
