Three Fun Thanksgiving Crafts

At Children's Lighthouse, they were in the Thanksgiving spirit! They did three fun crafts to celebrate the holiday that just happened this past week.

Hand-and-feet turkeys
For the first craft, students created the body of a turkey by covering their foot in brown paint and then pressing it upon the paper. Next, the turkey's feathers were created by pressing their hands covered in colorful paint behind around the footprint. The result was an impressive turkey that was made out of students' footprints and handprints!

Turkey feathers
This second craft had students gluing bright and colorful craft feathers to a pint-out of a turkey so that it went from a drab black-and-white to being full of beautiful colors! It was a great activity to develop fine-motor skills.

Turkey on a plate
The last craft had the students making a handprint-turkey with some brown paint for the turkey's body and other colors for its feathers. The turkey was on a plate with utensils nearby so that it would look delicious and cute!
