Thanksgiving Activity!
Thankful Turkey is an activity that preschoolers and toddlers can do with supervision. The kids have fun doing it, they can talk about different colors, learn about a holiday, learn about the parts of a turkey, and also work on any sensory issues that they may have with touching the wet paint.
The directions are below:
1. Have an adult or older kid trace, draw, or print the outline of a turkey's body.
2. Pour 5 different washable paints into 5 different paper plates.
3. Have the kids stick their hands in the paint and then stick their hands on the body of the turkey where his tail feathers would go. Have a napkin close by to dry the kid's hands before sticking them into a different color paint.
4. The paint will dry in about 30 minutes.
5. The student, or an adult, can write Happy Thanksgiving on the paper, their name, and the year.
6. Option, but I laminate mine.
7. This is a great craft to send home to parents.
