Caring for Caterpillars Watching Them Turn into Butterflies
At Active Minds Early Learning Academy, they had a setup where they could care for caterpillars and watch as they turned into butterflies! It was great fun for the kids to learn about the process of caterpillars turning into butterflies and then seeing it with their own eyes.
Feeding and nurturing the caterpillars
The kids helped keep the caterpillars fed by giving them pieces of vegetation and making sure they had plenty of water. Eventually, the caterpillars went into their cocoons and after undergoing a metamorphosis emerged as beautiful butterflies that the kiddos were so excited to see flutter around! The class couldn't wait to release the butterflies outside once they all hatched!
