Weather Emotions Matching Game for Young Children
This matching game can be played two ways! It involves matching either the emotions the weather is showing to the word at the top of a sheet with the little cards, or simply matching the type of weather itself.
How to Do the Weather Emotions Matching Game
To prepare, cut out all of the little cards and put them aside, then print-out the main sheets as well. Put the main sheets in front of your child and have the cards nearby. Now, you can ask your child to look at the weather and note what kind of emotions they are showing. They look sad, worried, surprised, angry, scared, and happy. Have your child match the emotions shown on the weather with the kind listed on each sheet. After matching the emotions, remove the cards. Now, match the cards to the weather, regardless of emotions. After doing this discuss what emotions are displayed on the matching weather and where those emotions could be moved to as well.
