Writing Thank-You Letters for Veterans Day
Veterans Day recently occurred. At Sunshine State Academy, they wrote thank-you notes for veterans as a fun activity that also was a stellar way to express appreciation for the men and women who have worked to keep us safe!
Thanking veterans
The kids could choose to write a thank-you note to a veteran they know, or write a general one the teacher could help give to a veteran somewhere. There are so many people who might be veterans and we don't know it from our grandparents, to parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, sometimes even the classroom teacher! It was wonderful watching the children write notes thanking veterans and it was an inspirational way to celebrate Veterans Day in the classroom.
