CVC word match with cards + whiteboards + pictures
The pre-primary children enjoyed matching the CVC words and adding in writing them, on their whiteboards building on their writing and fine motor. However always having some manipulation like pebbles, play dough, and noodle adjustment is always better than matching.
I like to have the words and pictures and for them to sound out the letters to create meaning. Playdough is great to add to their fine motor but will need to ensure it's teacher-directed in order to keep them on task.
I've also seen it done with magnets which is great, the kids enjoy it. Much more to learn though and always looking for more ideas. please share!
