Easter Trail - through the use of crafts or activities relating to the different events around the Easter story
The children learnt about the Easter story through a craft trail. At each station, the children listened to a part of the story from a children's Bible then did a craft to represent that part of the story.
Palm Sunday - palm leaves - coloured or painted.
Last Supper - snack time! Red grapes, blackcurrant juice and bread sticks.
Jesus washes the disciples feet - foot-shaped sponge painting onto a printed bowl.
Garden of Gethsemane - playing with soil and planting seeds.
Crucifixion (Jesus dies) - glitter crosses.
Resurrection (Jesus is alive) - He is risen semi-circles - colouring in and folding into a cone shape. Add shredded paper and chocolate eggs or chocolate lollies.
The children love the Easter Trail and really look forward to doing this.
