Learning About Diversity With a Group Poster Project

Katie's Kids: A Christian Early Childhood Center spoke with the kids about diversity and everyone made a beautiful poster focused on diversity too! It announced, "We Are All Alike. We Are All Different," and featured handprints the kiddos traced and then colored-in to all be different. It was a lovely group poster project and helped to instill how we are all the same in some ways, but also different in others--and that's a good thing!

Creating a diversity-promoting poster
To make the poster promoting diversity, the class took a large piece of paper and laid it out. They talked about their differences as people and their similarities. The text was written about how, "We Are All Alike. We Are All Different," and then everyone traced their handprints. After tracing their hands, the children used watercolor painted to color-in the handprints and complete the beautiful poster.
