Number Recognition

Hi,

I am an FS1 teacher in Dubai. Teaching young children has been my passion as I love working with little minds. Every week, I add at least one number activity to strengthen children's learning around numbers. Most of the times, the activities revolve around number recognition and counting. An activity bin was filled with rainbow rice having hidden magnetic numbers. The purpose of this activity was to enable children to recognize numbers from 1 to 10. The children would dig in the bin to match the number on a printed paper. The children were excited to match the found numbers with the printed ones. This is a great sensory activity for number recognition.
