Materials:

Construction paper in different colors( we used red, orange, blue, green, yellow, purple, brown)

Scissors

Stick glue

What we did:

Owls with shape

My kindergarten students had to cut different size- big, medium, small- and different colors triangles. In addition they had to cut two circles for eyes.

They had to glue everything they had cut on a white paper starting with the eyes and the nose. Some kids put eyebrows on their birds too. After that they had to

put down one line triangles and every next line by putting the triangles in the between.

Children really liked it because all owls looked different but so beautiful!. Moreover it was a great practice to understand the shapes and try to make some by themselves.

I really like it when children can be creative and show me what they have learned during our lessons. It is a great opportunity to practice their hand skills too.
