Sheep farm (construction with blocks activity)
We used small blocks, small sheep toys, green shredded paper for grass, and blue paper circle for a pond. Children of 3yo enjoyed this activity. They added the people on the farm - shepherds. Counted the sheep and played The lost sheep story. At the beginning, I showed how to build the fence using two types of blocks : one for the fence post and another for rails. Then we talked about what our sheep needed and come up with idea to add shredded paper for grass. We did not forget about water for them as well. Children added gates so there sheep could go out. This activity helps to develop fine motor skills, cognitive and imaging skills.
