Snakeskin Textural Paint Craft

At Pumpkin Patch Preschool, they did a fun craft that involved using the texture of bubble wrap to create a paint effect that looked like snakeskin! The kids learned about how snakes have skin that looks slimy, bumpy, and gross but is actually smooth. After learning this the kids simulated their own snakeskin by using bubble wrap. You can simulate snakeskin too with ease!

How to make your own snakeskin effect with paint
To create the effect where your paint looks like snakeskin you just need to follow a handful of steps:
1. Take bubble wrap and cover it in paint.
2. Pick up your bubble wrap and press the side covered in paint upon some paper--the result will be a paint texture that looks bumpy but is actually smooth, just like real-life snakeskin!
3. Use this effect with some paper you cut-up to look like a snake so it appears very authentic!
