Alphabet Bingo for Preschoolers
At North Cross United Methodist Preschool they kicked-off the school year by playing alphabet bingo with their preschoolers! They did, "Blackout," bingo where the kids had to fill a board and if they did, they won!
How alphabet bingo is done
To play alphabet bingo you can do what they did at North Cross United Methodist Preschool or change things as desired. They used a playmat with eight different letters of the alphabet in both uppercase and lowercase form. Then, they gave the kids play-chips to cover their boards anytime their letter was called. the children then paid close attention as the teacher randomly called letters. When a child had a play-chip over ever letter they got to call-out, "Bingo!" and be the winner for that round! It was a fun way to help preschoolers develop their listening skills and letter recognition.
