Creating Nature-Based Loose Parts Mandalas

At the Gratitude Garden Preschool, they created nature-based mandalas as a fun loose parts activity!

What is a Mandala?

A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. Mandalas encourage mindfulness, with the person making them being thoughtful about the placement of each item, but also creating something from their own imagination.

Using pieces of nature to create a mandala!

The kids had so much fun using leaves, stems, flower petals, and other aspects of nature to create their mandalas. They carefully glued all these nature-based loose parts onto their canvases and then waited for the glue to dry before showing off their amazing creations!
