Volcano and Dinosaur Sensory Bin

At Great Bridge Presbyterian Preschool, they created a sensory bin full of toy dinosaurs and the classic, "Volcanoes," that erupt when you combine baking soda and vinegar. It was great fun to be able to do that science experiment while playing with dinosaur toys that the kiddos could imagine were running from the big volcano!

Discussing how dinosaurs went extinct

The class talked about how dinosaurs existed millions of years ago but then went extinct. Some evolved into the birds we see today, but others were wiped out mysteriously. Some think it was a comet that hit Earth and others theorize the dinosaurs disappearing could relate to volcanic eruptions. However it happened, dinosaurs sure were neat long ago!
