We made shaped, hanging bird feeders to hang outside our windows
We recently make bird feeders with birdseed and gelatin to hangup outside our windows for the birds (or squirrels). It was a pretty low prep activity but one that required quite a bit of assistance and patience.
The bird feeders are made with hot water, unflavored gelatin package and birdseed. Use a cookie cutter to shape them and place on a pan with parchment paper. They do require patience with drying, but that can be shortened if they aren't made quite so thick like these are. I checked after 24 hours and thought they needed more time.
I also forgot to add a hole to put them on string so I did that after they dried with a scribe, that can easily be done before they dry but definitely an adult job.
