Y is for Yak Craft
At Kids Express Preschool, they learned about the letter Y. As a part of that, the class discussed how Y can stand for an animal such as the Yak! After learning about how Yak starts with a Y, the students did a craft with construction paper where they created a Yak out of the letter Y!
Materials needed for this craft
To make your own Yak you will need the following:
*Green, yellow, brown, tan/light brown construction paper
*Googly eyes
*Buttons
*Brown yarn
*Scissors
*Glue
How to do this craft
To make your own Yak follow these steps:
1.Cut your brown construction paper into the shape of a Yak's head.
2.Cut your yellow construction paper into the shape of the letter Y.
3.Cut your tan construction paper into the shape of a Yak's nose.
4.Glue your Yak's head onto the green construction paper.
5. Glue your Yak's nose onto the bottom of his head.
6. Glue the letter Y over your Yak's head.
7. Glue the buttons onto your Yak's nose.
8. Glue the googly eyes onto your Yak's head with the letter Y between them.
9. Glue the brown yarn onto the Y in the middle of the Yak's head to serve as its hair.
10. Wait for the glue to dry.
11. Your Yak is done!
