Starry Nights Bristle Ball Painting Activity

At Busy Bees Preschool, they were doing an, "All about me," unit. One of the final lessons was discussing the importance of sleep. It was talked about how we rest to feel our best, but we also need sleep to heal, have dreams, and snuggle in our blankets! It was discussed how while we sleep the sky is sometimes full of starry nights--much like the famous painting of the same name! The kids used bristle balls to make different star patterns to compliment the perfect night’s sleep and the results were gorgeous!

How the, "Starry Nights," were made.
The kids made their own, "Starry Nights," by taking bristle balls and dipping them in paint. Then, they spread these paint-covered bristle balls along their canvas to make impressive-looking artwork. The balls helped make the artwork look just like Van Gogh's famous, "Starry Nights," and the kids were proud of their creations!
