Testing Out Different Tools for Creating Art

At Kingswood Academy Greenacres, they did a fun art activity where the focus was more upon testing-out different tools for making art as opposed to the creation of the art itself. The kids practiced using regular tools such as drawing with crayons, but then practiced painting with toothbrushes! The class talked about other unique tools that could be used to create art.

Doing your own unique art tools activity
To do this activity you just need to gather items that are normally used for making art (crayons, markers, paintbrushes) and then can also use unique items to encourage children to use their creativity. Some examples of creative items you can use are:
*Toothbrushes (as discussed)
*Rubber bands
*Bubble wrap
*Balloons
*Cookie Cutters
*Pieces of fabric
*Credit cards/pieces of plastic
Children can practice using these for painting with ease and will enjoy how creative it is!
