Creating Self-Portraits
The preschool Bright Horizons at Skokie had their students create beautiful self-portraits! The children discussed developing self-awareness about themselves and the importance of respecting others because we all have our own interpretations of ourselves--our own, "Self-portrait," so to speak.
An interpretation of ourselves
The kids had a great time considering how they wanted to portray themselves in their portraits. Some used markers, others utilized paint, and a few went with a mixed-media creation of themselves! The children had a lovely time considering the best way to present themselves and discussing why they chose to make their self-portraits look the way they did.
