Two Farm-Themed Activities for the Classroom
At Little Roots Day Care, they spent the week doing a farm theme for the classroom. As a part of this theme, they did some fun activities. Two were especially awesome and deserve to be highlighted!
Farmland sensory bin
The teachers made a farmland-themed sensory bin and the kiddos loved it! To keep with the farm theme the, "Ground," was made out of cornmeal that the children could manipulate. They played with the farm animals and made all kinds of sounds like you hear in the barnyard!
Barn-creating craft
The students made their own barns as part of a delightful craft as well. First, they laid down some painter's tape in the shape of a barn, then painted the color red within the tape. Next, they laid down some glue and put popsicle sticks where their glue was. After everything dried the barn was done!
